pickThis series is so great. Every installment is like a Hallmark movie: small town, quirky characters, beautiful setting, an HEA with no stress or drama, and dogs. I love that Katrina and Bowie came together over caring for Bo‘s 6yr old brother Milo, who has autism. Milo came to live with Bo after a rough start in life with his mom. He is a lovable child and it was nice to see a relationship grow over such a wholesome common goal.
pickOne thing I have been enjoying about this series is how the stories have been just as much about creating a family as about the romance. Here Bo is struggling to take care of his special-needs brother, and Kat is trying to adopt a girl with Down Syndrome. There is more depth here than a lot of fluffy romances, and I loved the discussions about family and adoption.
