This book was so-so. Not horrible, but not worthy enough for a “keeper shelf” book either. I can‘t put my finger directly on why I didn‘t love it...perhaps things will improve with book two. To be honest this book could‘ve easily come in 440+ pages easily without anything being lost. I guess pacing is the biggest bug-a-boo followed by character growth. Sigh...

For those of you that use Goodreads, when you DNF a book, do you mark it as "read" or no? #DNF

sprainedbrain This is such a struggle for me! If I think I will try it again, I put it on my ‘dnf‘ shelf and leave as want to read. If I bail and know I won‘t touch it again, I just remove from my shelves completely, so it‘s not marked read. 6y
Kristy_K If I read over 60% of it I‘ll shelf it as ‘read‘ otherwise I have an exclusive shelves for my DNFs. 6y
baes I have an exclusive shelf for my abandoned books. That way I don‘t have to mark it one of the 3 choices. You can do this on a desktop. 6y

So I decided to try this book after seeing it recently on some high profile Best Romance Books lists. I'm nearly 40% in and I'm struggling. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind a good Alpha Male Romance, but these characters are starting to get on my nerves! Does anyone know if it gets better? To finish or not to finish, that is the question.

This book was just as batshit as I remember. If you‘re looking for a sweet romance with a healthy consensual relationship this is not your book!🚫 If you‘re looking for a drama filled romp with a domineering control freak with scorching hot sex scenes then this is a book for you😏

I just got these paperbacks and I‘m planning on doing a reread of the first three books in preparation for reading the newest book plus passionflix is making This Man into a movie❤️ I devoured these books years ago, they‘re the definition of #kindlecrack this series is a beautiful train wreck of a romance, there‘s so many things wrong with the characters and their relationship but you just can‘t look away😳😂

Einseitiger Liebe ? Oder doch ein Leben zu zweit?
Liebe oder nur Sex?
Wie sieht es aus in dem Leben von Ava das komplett auf dem Kopf gestellt wird von dem attraktiven Jesse.
Verwirrung pur sag ich euch. Meiner Meinung nach ist es ein typischer Roman aus dem Genre. Ein schöner Schreibstil von der Autorin jedoch fehlt der Geschichte und den Protagonisten an Tiefe. Mal gucken was Teil 2 & 3 hergeben.
