First dual biography!! Interesting style! I‘m a big fan of 1984 and Animal Farm and glad to learn the backdrop of them. 4 stars of 5.

A very good book about fascism and resistance, and how the radically different ideas and beliefs of conservative Winston Churchill and far-left George Orwell often shared a strong defense of the individual and of liberal democracy at a time when both were in dire straits. Overall, a quick, excellent read.

#TBRtemptation post 2! A 2017 dual biography of the titular men, whose vision and action preserved democracy from the Left and the Right. Both men touched death in the '30s, one a politician on the outs, the other a mildly successful novelist. They would both triumph in the '40s, making them indelible characters of modern history. Their convictions and courage are examined in stark relief. #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎

2017 #121 NF Audio such a weird topic that was brilliantly done. Each chapter was quotable and demanded more research or reading. The ending conclusion was fantastic and I will own this book, reread it with a friend, and debate it until my brain has satisfied all it's mental itches.
