We start September 1st! Guess our #BuddyRead for October! The game is played like this: in order to guess a letter you have to first read a book that begins with the letter that you are guessing. so in order to guess the letter T you would have had to have read a book beginning with the letter T and so on.

@TheReadingMermaid and I have some big things planned for Halloween this year, and it all starts in just 1 month! We will each be posting a #HangmansGame. So guess a letter you will need to read a book that starts when the letter you want to guess. The final words will revel the title to our October #BuddyRead selections. This is the third book in the Forgotten Files series by Mary Burton. It‘s about a cop who reopens an unsolved serial killer case that her late father was working on before his suicide. Time is running out as the killer is back just as the case is reopened.
I give this book a 4/5 ⭐️
I enjoyed it

Mary Burton creates strong, credible, and vulnerable characters. Tobias and Julia‘s connection unfolds casually as it evolves from professional to personal. With a solid plot, steady pacing, and a cleverly written villain, Burton‘s expertise at suspense keeps you on the edge of you seat.

I've been 📖 non ✋ and I've been cursing, smiling, and guessing throughout the 📚. MB did a great job by steering u to this direction then another later on. U couldn't ✋ guessing who was it. Is it really him? Or she? And I'd like to admit, I couldn't figure out until close to the ending and that's 😭
This 📚 is more of a complicating and dark. Kind of dark and twisted yet you'd find it disgusting when u read the WHY and WHO. #maryburton
