Another classic piece of Children's fiction, written in 1904! Well worth considering if you are doing the A to Z Classics challenge in 2018. #noteworthynovember

Well, I couldn't pass these up when @aeeklund posted them appearing at her bookstore! SO glad I did - they are pristine! I also appreciate the note on the receipt to 'wrap well' - they were packed like the treasures they are! 💕💕
It seems like they were never read 🙀
And are well worth ruining my book buying ban 😁

@LeahBergen - I left the green set for you!
Oh no. Oh no, no, no, no, NO!!! I do NOT need this temptation at work!!! @elkeo I blame YOU!!! #mustresist #weakening #foliofreaks
Just had to be the classic The Phoenix and the Carpet by Edith Nesbit. This was written in 1904 but still a great story. I still remember the series on children's tv based on this book when I was child - I remember asking what a Phoenix was! #magiccarpetride
This was also the first time I had ever heard about a magic carpet.
I remember loving The Phoenix and the Carpet as a kid. This was the version I had - look at it - is there anything these books don't have? And I could never get my head round the fact she wrote the Railway Children as well. Litsy's turning me into an aspiring re-reader!

Man, it's a great feeling when a childhood favorite stands up to re-reading. This time, the poetical, self-cherishing Phoenix stole the show for me -- but the children's good hearts, their unsupervised adventures, and their access to magic are still as delightful as ever. (TW: 1909 cultural norms.)
And the Nesbit feasting continues. She's earned the "Re-read" badge on Audible. ?
