9/11 - A very difficult remembrance.
so-soDeLillo's novel about a survivor and his family attempting to process the horror of the 9/11 attacks. The surreal nature of the event lends itself well to Delillo's surrealist writing style, although I'm not sure it's among his best work.
pick9/11 is an event that everyone alive for it can tell you where they were when it happened. This story is about one of the survivor‘s, his estranged wife, and his young son and how they struggle to put their pieces back together....or don‘t...How, like a phoenix, they came out of the smoke and ash. #MayBookFlowers It's not an exact match but I thought it was an appropriate selection for #musicaltitles. This 9/11 novel was my first and only DeLillo. I bought Alicia Keys' debut album the Friday after 9/11. My boss had dismissed us early so I went to the Tower Records on South Street and bought this and Whitney Houston's Greatest Hits. 👇🏼
They were character and authors both, able to tell what they wished, cradle the rest in silence.
