New Orleans Mourning
New Orleans Mourning | Julie Smith
2 posts | 2 read | 9 to read
When the smiling King of Carnival is killed at Mardi Gras, policewoman Skip Langdon is on the case. She knows the upper-crust family of the victim and that it hides more than its share of glittering skeletons. But nothing could prepare her for the tangled web of clues and ancient secrets that would mean danger for her--and doom for the St. Amants.... "Smith is a gifted writer." Happy Mardi Gras, Littens! It‘s been a while since I read this series, so they kinda run together at this point, but they‘re all enjoyable and quintessentially Louisiana or at least quintessentially New Orleans. Tagged book is the first of them. #50states

I didn‘t know this book had won an Edgar until I was done with it. Deservedly so, I think. It was really good - lots of New Orleans color, a look into high society and a bunch of twists. (Some easier to see coming than others!). #LitsyAtoZ #LetterN #MountTBRChallenge #23
