A work colleague put this in my mailbox before the pandemic shut down everything. I hope to read the first chapter before my first evaluation of the day.

The Splendor Falls by Rosemary Clement-Moore, The Game by Laurie R. King, Hostile Makeover and Death on Heels by Ellen Byerrum #purplebooks #day25 #riotgrams
Sylvie‘s life is in turmoil - an injury has ended her ballet career. Her father‘s death and her mother‘s remarriage has also temporarily relocated her to a dilapidated family home, haunted by odd occurrences and a Confederate soldier. An amazing book! I read it years ago when I led a YA book club. It‘s a Southern gothic novel for teens, with enough creep factor to keep you reading. And, of course, a love triangle. #DontHauntThisPlace #TimbitTunes
This book I find personally to be a good fun read. It has an element of mystery to a teen romance and I think a great amount of character development. Slyvie having struggle with no longer being able to dance speaks to me on a very personal level and I love how much she changes as the story progresses. While Rhys is a total dreamboat and genuinely great character for the type of book presented. I‘ve read this book at least six times.
