Love Colleen's Tiger's Curse series, and thought I might try this.
Didn't find the main female as relatable as Kelsey in TC, but the main male characters had me invested.
The main female is a dramaticized uptown girl, and very hard to relate to.
Overall, I love the story elements and setting.

#👀 these are all shinny and textured and make me think they are looking at me. If you see a real one (not picture) the depth and the design of these covers are just sooo striking. Now to find time to read them.

I went into this with medium expectations and they were met -- but with a few surprises. I actually really dug with mythology and the main love interest. Worth a shot if you are into Egyptian mythology

Solid book. Lived the male main characters but hated the female main character. Absolutely adore anything to do with ancient Egypt!

While I enjoyed this, I wanted more from it. I think her other series is superior to this one, and the some of the characters seemed to lack a personality. I like the world building and the adventure, but some of the dialogue is just so silly. ☀️☀️☀️🌤

I absolutely adored this poem at the very beginning of the book. There is such love in these words ❤️

If you like Egyptian history or mythology worth a look!

A terrible book, but still entertaining in how awful the characters and plot were. This had everything I hate in a book- racism, white savior syndrome, and a massive Mary Sue protagonist, but it reached the point where it was so bad it was good.

This book is reaching My Immortal-levels of bad writing.

...Dude, he literally just saved your life after you put yourself at risk. You could be a little more grateful!

I've read some of her other books and I just wasn't as impressed. A good filler novel if you are waiting in between series

It took SO much effort not to bail on this one. Gah. I probably should have. I couldn't stand the protagonist, and everyone else is just as flat and uninteresting. The writing made me cringe. Stop comparing things to Godzilla already.

A story of Ancient Egyptian myth and legend, with a modern day twist, this book is exciting, entertaining, and a brilliant read. Thrilling, and with a wonderfully intricate plot from start to finish, 'Reawakened' has everything a young adult book could possibly need and more.

The protagonist is a spoiled, Mary Sue type named Lily who takes every opportunity to point out aspects of her "perfect" life. Worse is the lack of free will she is given before being forced to serve an Egyptian pharaoh lost in time. It reminded me too much of our society's rape culture. Unsettling.

While the main character can drive you somewhat crazy at the beginning, I actually grew to like this book. Mythology is not 100% accurate, but it still weaves a good story. Beware of the cheesiness at some points! This is a teen novel! Mostly enjoyed the bickering between Lily and Amon. 4 ⭐️'s

Not the first book she has nibbled on, but I think the content is better than it tastes!
