Gabriel's Inferno
Gabriel's Inferno | Sylvain Reynard
13 posts | 76 read | 12 to read
From national bestselling author Sylvain Reynard comes the haunting, unforgettable tale of one mans salvation and one womans sensual awakening . . . Enigmatic and sexy, Professor Gabriel Emerson is a well-respected Dante specialist by day, but by night he devotes himself to an uninhibited life of pleasure. He uses his notorious good looks and sophisticated charm to gratify his every whim, but is secretly tortured by his dark past and consumed by the profound belief that he is beyond all hope of redemption. When the sweet and innocent Julia Mitchell enrolls as his graduate student, his attraction and mysterious connection to her not only jeopardizes his career, but sends him on a journey in which his past and his present collide. An intriguing and sinful exploration of seduction, forbidden love, and redemption, Gabriels Inferno is a captivating and wildly passionate tale of one mans escape from his own personal hell as he tries to earn the impossibleforgiveness and love. About the Author Sylvain Reynard is a Canadian writer with an interest in Renaissance art and culture and an inordinate attachment to the city of Florence. (Parenthetically, it should be noted that the snarky narrator of Gabriels Inferno was contracted to write this biographical description, and he can attest that SR is, in fact, real, and has an enviable collection of argyle socks.)

This book is a slow seduction, not only of the two main characters but of the reader. The more I read the more I wanted. The opposites of Gabrielle, the Rake, and Julia, the innocent, worked so well together and that they both had demons in their past added to the drama. The plot is on the slow side but was offset by fabulous prose. I enjoyed the character of Gabrielle the most. He is arrogant and pretentious and in ways felt like he was right...

TheSpineView ... out of the 17th century. I rolled my eyes numerous times at him and wanted to tell him to get over himself. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series. 4.5⭐️ #SeriesLove2023 @Andrew65 This is my #DoubleSpin book for June @TheAromaofBooks 1y

#ThemedThursday @dabbe

This book is on my TBR list. It has mixed reviews but more good than bad. I like the idea of a bad bog needing redemption.

Very late so if you want to play and haven't consider yourself tagged.

dabbe Whoah; this looks intriguing indeed, and it's #stacked! Thanks! 😊💙🤗 2y
TheSpineView @dabbe It will be fun to see who reads it first! 2y

What a ROMANTIC romance book! I instantly fell in love with Julia and Gabriel‘s story of first love and redemption. The way it was written was more like a classic novel, which I haven‘t really seen executed as well as it was in this novel. Reading the second book now and I‘m sad to bee close to finishing the series.
