pickSweet, so freaking sweet that if that side of suspense hadn‘t been there it would have been too much. Even when Jess is being an alpha jerk I still liked him and displaced Gigi and Rowan were adorable as mom and young daughter. The danger and the Who done its kept me turning pages when the relationship seemed to work out quickly.
pickDevney Perry put this whole series in KU to help with the quarantine blues. This is book 1 and while I struggled with parts of it, overall it was good and one of my friends tells me it‘s the only one in the series she didn‘t love.
so-soRead this for a new #bookclub for moms in my area. Wasn't horrible but definitely not my style. It was not something I would ever choose to read and that's what book clubs are all about, branching out. So, that was a positive! Romance. Also, very Lifetime movie-ish, which is sometimes a fluffy palate cleanser.
Someone on my Facebook friend list posted about starting a book club for moms in my area. I yelled, "sign me up!" So now I suppose I will be doing two IRL book clubs. I joined this new "mom group" before I knew the first selection, which turns out to be this book. I downloaded it for free from Prime (if that tells you anything ?) and it's not the type of book I normally read (romance). We will see how this new thing goes ? Already 10% in.
