MKbookworm I have the same Mary Poppins edition that was given to me by my mom when I was 10. It was originally hers and has her own 10 yr old signature in it. While I do love the original series, this is one time where I think the #moviewasbetter 7y

The collection of fairy tales from around the globe in The Pink Fairy Book is truly wonderful and for the first time I even came across a tale where it was the younger sister to save her brothers in The Water of Life - and then I remembered The Seven Ravens.
Many tales are about decisions to make and rules to obey to and often I ask myself what I would've done. Fairy tales were meant to be educational and that's one aspect I love about them.

The #foliosociety edition of this book is drop dead g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s-!!! The cover suits the beginning of the cherry blossoms here in Kyoto just perfectly 🌸 No matter how much the price, this purchase was meant to be. It's filled with so many fairy tales I don't know yet, it's hard to decide where to start 😆And the illustrations inside!! So much beauty, I am in raptures ♥️
