A depressed grad student tries to commit suicide but instead becomes enthralled by a dark power that propels him to take lives or suffer consequences. Another crime classic by Brubaker. Recommended!

Wow! I‘m a Brubaker fan. But this was just at a whole new level of awesomeness. I tore through Vol 1 & 2, and I‘ll be looking for the next two volumes ASAP.
Dark, twisted, complicated ... everything you want in a story with a demon 😈

Because he lived, he must now kill or his life will end. As his life slowly unravels, you wonder what is real, and how much is in his head.

pickI really felt bad for Dylan. He got a second chance at life, but had to deal with the consequences of that. I'm looking forward to reading Volume 2 which is coming out next week. It's a good series. Ed Brubaker once again did an awesome job with this story as he did with The Winter Soldier.
pickI'm hooked!!!! I don't want to wait for volume two, so I will most likely be running out to buy the issues. While I loved "The Fade Out" this is more my type of series.
Love this scene of Coney Island in winter. I agree it's still magical even if deserted.
Super violent murder scenes. But an interesting story about a conflicted and depressed grad student who survives his suicide attempt, only to find himself in servitude to a demon who requires one death a month.
pickReading about killers with my fur hunter Slick! I liked this gritty comic about a regular Joe who cheats death and then must kill for a demon to survive. Moral dilemmas abound. #killingiscompicated
