Meet the Dullards
Meet the Dullards | Sara Pennypacker

In the tradition of The Stupids, Meet the Dullards is a clever and irreverent picture book about a comically boring family, from bestselling author Sara Pennypacker and illustrator Daniel Salmieri. Their home is boring. Their food is plain. Their lives are monotonous. And Mr. and Mrs. Dullard like it that way. But their childrenBlanda, Borely, and Little Dudhave other ideas. . . . Never has dullness been so hilarious than in this deadpan, subversive tale.

Some kind of funny parts, but it really just isn‘t that clever. Worth reading once.

Delayed post #5: Overall, this was a pretty cute picture book. The Dullards pride themselves on being the dullest family around: they don‘t play or read or talk to people. They like to watch paint dry and stand in the dark doing nothing. When the kids start to read, play, and practice circus tricks, their alarmed parents decide to move. But then they just move back when the new house doesn‘t work out, satisfied that they‘ve cured their children.
