Emily: "I sell antique books by day and am a painter at night. I like to read old-fashioned, women authors. George Sand is a woman using a pseudonym. This book was published in the 1830s. A lot of women authors had to use male pseudonyms so people would take their literature more seriously. It's funny because this book is about reverse chivalry – a woman takes a man under her wing and civilizes him."
