Recommendations time! I‘m less than a month away from the first day of my fall term. I tend to visit the library and pick up random books with good illustrations to read to my students and create an art lesson from the books that I happen to pick up. I‘m wanting to try something different. Any one have a preschool children‘s book that has spectacular illustrations you‘d like to recommend for me to try?

LapReader Jane Tanner is an amazing artist and @LibrarianRyan does a great kid‘s book review. 6y
LibrarianRyan Thanks @LapReader Most of my reviews have comments about the illustrations. I love anything Catrow. So bright and colorful. A book that is just now coming out is 6y

I had to feature this long-time favorite of mine. Illustrated by Steve Johnson and Lou Fancher, the beautiful Dr Seuss rhymes perfectly capture the tumult of emotions that children (and adults) experience with reassuring acceptance. A real treasure.

vkois88 I don't think I've seen this one!! I need to look for it for Peanut. Great feeling/color relations. 7y
