Bedtime reading. Now and again I get curious about one of the poets and I can look in the back and read a blurb about him or her. I read "By the Pacific" by Jessica Joyce and there was no mention of her. I searched for her on the internet and no luck. (And now I'm more curious) Anyone heard of her? #mysteriouspoet

I love that this book has a poem called, "Nancy Drew" by Ron Koertge! ??‍♀️

This poem made me laugh, and this is only an excerpt.

Tonight, Good Poems is making me melancholy. I think I'll have to resort to Pearls Before Swine to improve my mood before I sleep. Goodnight, Litsians.

I don't love every poem, but sometimes one reminds me of a certain time in my life or a certain feeling. I really like that these are focusing on some of what is beautiful about our country.

I was not expecting this in this book and all I can hear as I try to read it as a poem is Cash's voice, deep and low, singing. #poetry
