#CuriousCovers Day 9: Purple

This is a really under appreciated poetry collection, originally published in 1982 and edited by Seamus Heaney (known for his translation of Beowulf) and Ted Hughes (known for being Sylvia Plath‘s husband). It was a required book in my college poetry class, and I still go back to it occasionally. It has a really wide selection of poetry from William Blake to Elizabeth Bishop.

TiminCalifornia I have an older edition of this. Excellent poetry collection! 3y
Kimberlone @TiminCalifornia it‘s so great, especially for someone who is trying to dip into poetry for for the first time. I would highly recommend to anyone, though! 3y

#Pink Cover for #Day13 💗

The Rattle Bag is a fabulous poetry collection edited by Seamus Heaney (famous for his translation of Beowulf) and Ted Hughes (famous for being married to Sylvia Plath, and also being a poet). There's a great variety of poetry included, from Shakespeare and William Blake to Ezra Pound and Robert Frost.
