Congratulations on your Litsyversary & freelanciversary, @RachelO ! Thank you for this #inbetween giveaway. Mildew is translated from Spanish by the author. It's some 90+ pages of gripping, fever dream-type hallucinatory prose about sexuality, motherhood, life, & death. So good. I'm looking forward to Marie NDiaye's short Self Portrait in Green for more of the same.

I'd love to win either (1) Imaginary Cities or (5) The Unofficial Countryside 😍

rockpools Hello @batsy! You do find interesting books! I hadn't clocked this one, and was aware of N'Diaye from ?last year's MBI? but Obviously haven't read her! Will give her a go. Thanks for entering 😊 7y
batsy @RachelO I loved her Three Strong Women and All My Friends so I'm really looking forward to this one! Thanks for the opportunity 💚 7y

Best of 2017 #sofar

batsy @saresmoore I just saw that you mentioned that you probably could have narrowed it down more and I feel the same! But these were such interesting, unique books 💜 7y
saresmoore You read so diversely/broadly and it's amazing! I'm very much looking forward to Chemistry, which just landed on my doorstep yesterday. I want to read every book in this list! ♥️♥️ 7y
batsy @saresmoore I've a feeling you might enjoy the Robert Walser book. The kind of book where reading a vignette or two each day gives the day a different mood. I was thinking about your Sudjic review and Walser kind of pulls you out of the online buzz. 7y
saresmoore That sounds perfect for the moment. Thank you! 7y

Pickpick

#deweys24hourreadathon #readathon Brilliant, strange, devastating, and wholly original. I've never quite read anything like this before. It's translated from the Spanish by the author and at around 90 pages, it covers everything: birth, death, illness, and sex, motherhood and sexuality. Gonna go ahead and say it makes my #bestofApril too, along with Gerard Reve's The Evenings. #AprilBookShowers @RealLifeReading

A small selection of #onewordtitles from my collection. Still a surprising amount, even after I left out Eliot, Austen, Gaitskill, and Brontë 🙂 #riotgrams
