100 years ago today … This is one of the many reasons why feminism continues to be relevant and important. There are women still alive who were born before it was legal for them to wear pants in public.

Postcard found in a book. “The New Woman — Wash Day. Copyright 1901 by R. Y. Young.” #foundinabook #feminism #postcard
Finally finished this one. The book club isn't going really but I'm going to continue to read and learn.
This was interesting. It's a short history of the 3 waves and then the future of feminism. There was a lot that I knew, but it was helpful to have it more connected and linear. For a short reminder history of feminism in the U.S. it's worth reading.
I'm going to try not to post much today on any social media. Being a single mom I cannot fully participate in #adaywithoutwomen but I'm wearing red in support and I'm going to spend much of the day reading up on Feminism in the U.S.. #internationalwomensday
#litsypartyofone my official question answering post
1. I will be alternating between the tagged book and 'Valley of the Dolls'
2. I'll be eating gelato, chocolate, and cookie. I allow myself to eat without guilt on Fridays ?
3. Drinking Henry's Hard Grape Soda and water
4. I'm wearing one of my Vonnegut shirts it says "No book placed in a public library should be removed"
5. I'll probably change the TV to a music station
This one makes me happy. This one makes me smart. I don't want to throw this one across the room.

For the book club my SIL started to learn more about intersectional feminism most of us thought starting with at least a basics of the entire movement would be a good idea. Having a solid foundation is best. 'The Essential Feminist Reader' looked like it would be a good one too so I got that as well. I love learning more depth about subjects that I find important.
