Octopus Pie
Octopus Pie: There are no stars in Brooklyn | Meredith Gran
4 posts | 5 read | 3 to read
What is Octopus Pie?   Follow the adventures of two Brooklynites--Eve, a nerdy acerbic twentysomething and her roommate, Hanna, a long-lost friend who has blossomed into a chronically happy-go-lucky stoner. Crazed childhood rivals, art world hipsters, Eve's meddlesome mom, and boyfriends past and present crowd their odd yet ordinary lives. In the twilight zone between college and the adult world lies the sardonic, witty, maddening, and sometimes melancholy terrain that Meredith Gran's addictive comic Octopus Pie maps with devastating, drop-dead-funny accuracy.   This book collects the first two years of strips, plus bonus material.

Has anyone check this out on paper or on #Hoopla? Only one person has posted about it. I came across it in the course of Project Graphic Novel. It follows "grumpy 20-something Eve and stoner roommate Hanna as they navigate post-college life." Sounds fun!

Readingrobin Read this as a digital review copy and liked it. Reminded me of Scott Pilgrim. 8y
Megabooks @Readingrobin I've never read Scott Pilgrim. I'm just now getting into graphic novels. (2017 reading goal) I'll have to check it out! 8y
Suzze I just downloaded it from Hoopla. Sounds interesting. 8y
Megabooks @Suzze yay! I've started it and I'll probably read the next 3. 8y
