Ihr erster gemeinsamer Fall fhrt Frost und Payne in die Tiefen einer geheimen Waffenfabrik. Der Prototyp eines neuartigen Waffensystems wurde gestohlen. Der Verdacht fllt schnell auf einen internen Maulwurf, doch als Frost und Payne das wahre Ausma der Sache erkennen, ist es beinahe zu spt. Das Leben des Thronfolgers steht auf dem Spiel und ein Wettlauf gegen die Zeit beginnt. Cecilia wird Zeugin eines weiteren Leichenfundes. Schon wieder ein Jugendlicher mit mechanischen Krperteilen. Sie befrchtet, dass Scotland Yard als nchstes Annabella aus der Themse zieht, und bittet Payne, sich des Falls anzunehmen. Auch Frost ist an der Sache interessiert, besitzt sie doch selbst ein mechanisches Herz. Dies ist der zweite Band der neuen Steampunk-Serie "Frost & Payne". The second part of this series was quite as nice as the first and it was a cozy read on the train. 😉

This part was more Steampunk than the first. I loved the idea, how reality and 'Steampunk' are mixed up.

Sitting on my train home after sorting my best friend's shelves. Started the tagged book yesterday. It's the right book but the wrong author. 😑 Did you already started it @julesG ?

julesG @Sarah83 Remember what I said about German on Monday? It might be my mother tongue but it's not the language of my heart. I find it dry, the writing, not the content. I think that the kids might like it a lot. I'm going to test it out on them on Sunday. 6y
