Traditional literature. Published 1995. This is the classic fairy tale of Cinderella who loses her glass slipper. I love the original folk tale of this story but there are also so many variations out today that are so much fun for many children.

We all know the classic tale of Cinderella (TL). A young woman is mistreated by her evil stepmother and stepsisters. Her fairy godmother gives her the opportunity to improve her life for a night by going to the royal ball. Cinderella goes to the ball and ends up falling in love with the prince. The next day, the prince searches all of the land to find her again. Once he finds her, they get married and Cinderella becomes a princess.

MNelson98 This story works perfectly for RT, DR and S in the classroom. Students will have a blast acting out the story. ESOL strategy 50 can be used during RT and DR. UDL 1.3 and 7.3 can both be used for this book. 6y
MNelson98 This website provides a lesson plan that compares the different versions of the Cinderella tale and has students answer higher level thinking questions: http://www.readwritethink.org/classroom-resources/lesson-plans/behind-scenes-wit... #lae3414sp19 6y
DrSpalding You are right, traditional literature can be used in many ways in your classroom especially storytelling and dramatic reenactment. 6y
