Apparently I forgot to post my review when I finished this.
This series is like watching a middle grade Victorian themed soap opera in the best way. We get more plot twists and a little info about where the Incorrigibles lived before Ashton place but the mysteries are still piling up and Miss Lumley is left with more questions than answers again.

Book 3 of the Incorrigible Children series...another so-so. I like the witty comments made by the narrator throughout. It seems like so many situations were packed into this book, with very little solving of any of the issues.

I‘m taking a brief break before jumping into book four. This is part of the #CoverChangeMidSeries prompt for #BBRC #MiddleGrade

This third installment in the Incorrigible Children series was a great choice to balance out some heavier reading this week. Birdwatching, an expedition into the forest to find an escaped ostrich, and a midnight seance—plus the usual antics and hilarious digressions = great fun with the Incorrigibles! Now if the next book would just provide some answers to the underlying mystery...

Why do all the holds have to come in at once? I'm trying, I really am! I have 3 more coming up soon. All of them, except The Unseen Guest, have long lines I don't want to have to get back in. Guess this is a good time to pick up some embroidery projects I've left unfinished so I can get some hours in during the day.
