Hated it. Knew I'd hate it. At least we can tick this one off the list.

If you like the idea of a nightmarish, Bat-adjacent dream sequence with some violence thrown in, this could be the high concept horror novella for you.

If, however, you prefer substance and plot to vibes, and don't like migraine-inducing visuals, give this one a miss.

Need some Adam West Batman to recover now.

⭐️⭐️⭐️

TieDyeDude I am a big Batman fan, and this is supposed to be an essential graphic novel, but I didn't like it at all! 2w
RaeLovesToRead @TieDyeDude I didn't like Year One, and I actively disliked The Dark Knight Returns too. I think I'll just have to stick to the Lego and the Rocksteady games. Man, I loved the Arkham videogames trilogy. 2w
The_Penniless_Author Adam West is and will always be the best Batman. 🦇 2w

RaeLovesToRead @The_Penniless_Author Apart from Videogames Batman!!! 2w
RamsFan1963 @RaeLovesToRead I agree the visuals was headache inducing. I read it when it first came out and I remember buying the hardback edition, but sold it on ebay years later for about half what I spent 2w
RaeLovesToRead @RamsFan1963 Yikes, that would probably be worth quite a bit now! It wasn't my thing. All vibes, no story, and too grotesque. If you enjoy horror though, it's truly horrific! 2w

Auf Anraten meines Sohnes las ich dieses Buch. Schön düster so wie man es von Batman gewohnt ist... Und plötzlich sind die Bösen die Guten und Umgekehrt

Tea instead of coffee can only mean one thing... I‘m down for the count and need all the distraction I can get. Starting the day with one of my favorite Batman stories.

I'm on vacation! Just having a few days on the coast in a cute beach front apartment 🌴☀
Wally is having a nap before we head back to Movie World for Fright Night so I'm getting stuck into this bad boy 👌

#FunFridayPhoto - A Serious House on Serious Earth. Grant Morrison's script couldn't be more terrifying drawn by anyone but the amazing Dave McKean, but the most unsettling moment happens right here, off panel...

I don't know if this would be classified as "literature" but it is most definitely a classic. @LibrarianRyan #octbookchallenge #Day13 #GamingintheLitWorld

Potentially the most literary graphic novel I've ever read. Fascinating inside and out and endlessly creepy.
