February was my Daniel Silva month due to #BacklistReadathon @Clwojick @TheAromaofBooks.

So for #12Booksof2023 my February choice is the Defector, book 9 in the excellent Gabriel Allon series. I also have to mention Book 8, Moscow Rules, which I also read in February. Both excellent reads and The Defector continues the story of book 8.

2nd Book finished for #20in4

Another excellent book in the Gabriel Allon Series by Daniel Silva. This one follows on the events from the previous book where the person that helped Gabriel successfully complete his mission in Russia and then defects to England is abducted. As he saved Gabriel‘s life in the previous book Gabriel goes off to rescue him at great cost to himself and those around him. It‘s become personal. #SeriesLove2023 @TheSpineView

Moving onto the third book of the Gabriel Allon series for February. This is book 9 in the series and the events appear to follow on from those in book 8 so glad I read them close together.

Gabriel Allon knows something is strange when Grigori Bulganov former Russian Intelligence officer who was loving his life in England,disappears. Grigori saved Gabriel once in Moscow, he owes him.The complications are vast & deep , & threaten everything Gabriel holds dear.Sliva always writes detailed & exciting spy thrillers, already have the next 1 but who knows when I will get to it.This book is number 9 in the series.

Just a comment.Why does it take so long to finish a book? The internet is a blessing & a curse ! When I came across Cheyne Walk in Chelsea in the text , I had to look up just how many famous people had lived there! I learned a bit but progress on the book has stalled.

Another full-on action thriller with Gabriel 👍🏻 the things he has to go through in this one 😱 . A great read.

Have put aside the book I was trying to read whilst really ill and Gabriel is pulling me out of the slump.
Going home today as no room on the lists for my second op, coming back as outpatient in a couple of weeks. Good and bad, get chance to get some strength back but maybe better to get all done at once. Anyway, looking forward to own bed and Sansa snuggles. ❤️ to all you.

Another epic race against the clock for Gabriel Allon!! The sunshiny beach provided an interesting juxtaposition for this novel set in frigid, snowy Moscow.

Moving right along with catching up on the backlist of The Gabriel Allon series. I especially like how Silva throws in some series-within-a-series adventures. The Defector ties in to Moscow Rules. Read them together for best effect. (Moscow Rules comes first)
