so-so3✨ Well, I‘m glad I kept going. It was a struggle to get interested in the beginning, but it really picked up through the rest of the book. The ending went down a strange twist that I‘m not sure about. The humor through the thriller was a great touch. The creature was creepy. so-soThis was fair Koontz. Not the best I‘ve read by him, but not the worst (I‘m looking at you, Forever Odd). Tommy opens his door to find a rag doll, which he brings into his house. Only it‘s not just a doll, is it? The book had some creepy moments, but it was more of a fun supernatural romp. I laughed out loud several times. Quick read, would recommend for lighter fare.
Dean Koontz does creepy very well while making the supernatural seem absolutely plausible. #AllHallowsRead
Just finished this book and oh my goodness what a gem it was so fast paced and detailed koontz riveted me with yet another written masterpiece

Side note: I used to travel often for work having to fly alone. I would read Dean Koontz of Stephan King especially if I had layovers. I always thought if the stories freaked me out I would have heightened senses.in the airport like a ninja. 😊
Finished this book this week. Took me a little bit to get into it as the start is a bit slow, but the roller-coaster ride the book takes you on in the main characters survival kept me intrigued. I ended up really liking it.
When I read this, many years ago, I was home alone. It was the first book that creeped me out all on it's own. Every noise felt a million times louder and like that little doll was coming for me. It has stuck with me ever since.
My sister found this autographed copy for my birthday last year. 😊
