The Christmas Angel gave me a lot more squares than I thought it would!

THIS is the book I wanted to review. Grabbed this #HolidayRead on a whim at work. It's not the best written, but if you're looking for a super quick, SUPER cheesy, Christmas Carol style read....this is it!

I really enjoyed this story, for a new old classic favourite; thinking of Scrooge and Misfit Toys combined. A grumpy woman tosses her Christmas toys memory box out into the street, one at a time to see what becomes of them; and seeing deeper still, with the help of the 'pretty pink' guardian angel boy - The Christmas Angel. 😇🎀

I found myself starting The Christmas Angel, earlier while waiting at my mom's eye Dr. office. I'm really enjoying this one; continuing along a bit more today. ❄️ I'll be heading out to work soon, but have the next 3 days all booked for the Winter Games! 📚🤗🎉

A very cute little Christmas story with a very strong moral! Not sure the ending was very realistic but maybe things were different in those days?!
Oh, dear. This is a terribly maudlin Christmas story that is certainly of its time. Everyone “virtuous” has blonde hair and blue eyes and there are some cringe worthy, awful representations of certain ethnic groups. Yuck. 🤢😡
It‘s meant to have a “good will to all” message, but I‘m afraid it has aged very poorly.
I haven't had a full-size Christmas tree in years- since before my paternal grandmother died. Today I was decorating the big tree and opened a dusty box of ornaments to find this angel. She was part of a set of three that were designed by some fancy doll company my grandma loved. Just before the Alzheimer's started to get bad she mailed them to me out of the blue. I'd totally forgotten they existed until today...
I liked this book until the very end... the brother & sister relationship seemed very odd to me and the adoption of the little girl at the end a bit disturbing for the pace & other reasons. Ehh. Odd read lol!
