A surprising friendship blossoms between two people with supposedly very little in common.
“I never liked getting my hands dirty. This was one reason that our yard looks so sad but there were other reasons, too— bigger reasons that were much harder to confront than brutal grass and overgrown bushes.”
This doesn't seem like my usual thing, but I met the author's husband this week, and now I'm really looking forward to reading this. Sounds like it's going to be an amazing story.
This is my interpretation of today's #maybookflowers #sunshine tag. In spring, sunshine means gardening time.
Just finished this book. It was very moving. So many lessons to learn from both Carol and Giles about life, love, loss, friendship and grace. I really enjoyed this book. Definitely recommend it.
I'm almost finished with this book and really appreciate the gardening talk but the story is vert moving. Inspired by this book, I decided to share a photo of one of my fruit trees today. I wish the blossoms lasted longer.
I have had this book for quite a bit and it somehow seems fitting at the start of spring. Especially since I'm itchin' to get in my garden.
