This is my all time favorite Sweet Valley Twins book. They are gifted twin Harlequin dolls for Christmas after a big fight. They solve the riddle on the dolls‘ medallions & get sucked into a magical world where their dolls come to life & are 2 very good looking princes. They come together to fight an evil sorcerer. I didn‘t read much fantasy when I was younger but I always loved this book. 5⭐️ 80 points. Also spent 7 hours reading yesterday = 210

TorieStorieS Did you ever read Lloyd Alexander‘s Chronicles of Prydain? In 4th grade I read them and they remain a favorite of mine, so I figured you would like them, too, book twin! 😊 2w
JenlovesJT47 @TorieStorieS ooh no I haven‘t will go get it now! 🤓 2w

In this fifth #SweetValleyChristmas for the twins, it‘s Christmas Eve & the twins stay behind to exchange gifts to each other while everyone else goes to the airport for Alice‘s parents. Liz wrote a special story & a framed photo while Jess planned ahead & bought tickets for a concert & the bus to LA. Their disappointment leads to an epic fight & special harlequin dolls lead to an epic adventure in a fantasy land to bring them together again! ⬇️

TorieStorieS With another set of twins, opposing personalities, kisses, real unicorns & plenty of drama to remind them the real magic is the gift of being twins! 2mo
JenlovesJT47 My fave ❤️❤️❤️ 2mo
JenlovesJT47 I like how they had continuity with the Sweet Valley sagas (I read those over and over again!) with their twin ancestors. 2mo

TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 I know!! I loved those, too! I am really excited to get to them! I also thought it was funny that even Lila got involved at the end! 🤣 2mo
JenlovesJT47 Yes like I said, Lila is so dramatic and I‘m here for it lol. I always wished this book was a movie but they would probably not do it justice 😆 2mo
TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 I have always had a soft spot for Lila, even when she‘s at her snottiest! Considering what they did with the TV show, I am guessing a movie wouldn‘t be the same!! 🤣 2mo
JenlovesJT47 Yes, me too! Lila‘s Story was the only good one out of all 5 of those superstar stories. And don‘t get me started on the TV show!! 😤 Of course I watched it when it was on but I was so mad! Lila— a redhead?!?! Todd — blonde?? No no no no lol. The twins and Winston were spot on though lol. 2mo
TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 I know!! I really didn‘t watch much of the show because it was just too different and I couldn‘t handle it! But I may try to give it a watch at some point… but maybe not, because I don‘t know that I would be able to handle it any better now. My husband remembers the show better than I did because his younger sisters would watch it, so I always think it‘s funny that he has some frame of reference for these books!🤣 2mo
JenlovesJT47 I have it on dvd somewhere but I have never been able to bring myself to watch the whole thing 😆 And if you read those 3 special edition SVH books that are about the show it tells you just how totally they screw up some of the storylines! Like Jess can be a bit of a sociopath sometimes especially in the early SVH books, but they take it to a totally different level. No bueno 😬 2mo
TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 I don‘t think I have any books about the show!! What are they called?? 2mo
JenlovesJT47 I‘ll tag you in my reviews! 2mo
TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 Perfect!! Thank you!!😊 2mo

The Magic Christmas is one of my favorite books from childhood. I‘ve read it I don‘t know how many times, and I still think it would make a great movie! I try to read it at least every other Christmas. I read it in 2017 I believe. And I just dug it out of storage last night and plan on reading it this weekend! 🤗

TorieStorieS Will you read it this year? 2mo
JenlovesJT47 @TorieStorieS yes for sure! I think I last read it about 8 years ago so it‘s been awhile. Actually I plan on reading all the Christmas special editions this year, why not! 😆 I haven‘t read any of the others in ages! 2mo
JenlovesJT47 @TorieStorieS I have read The Evil Twin so many times I lost count but it‘s been a couple of years since I‘ve read that one so I‘ll definitely be doing that one too. I never get sick of that book and Return Of The Evil Twin ain‘t too shabby either 😁🤓 2mo
TorieStorieS So fun!! I adore The Evil Twin (and its sequel!)!! I remember so excitedly explaining the plot to my mom when I read it the first time and her shockingly less-than-impressed reaction!! Actually, I think she compared it to Days Of Our Lives— though she didn‘t think even they would let Margo herself have a twin, hahahaha!🤣 I can‘t wait to get that far!! 2mo
JenlovesJT47 @TorieStorieS Days Of Turmoil!! 😅 2mo

1. The Magic Christmas, followed very closely by The Curse of the Ruby Necklace (Sweet Valley of course!). I still try to read The Magic Christmas every Christmas Eve. 🤓
2. Going to the fair with my dad and winning a goldfish (even though I didn‘t get to keep it!) 🎣
3. Doing dishes (still really don‘t like it!) 🍽
4. I loved playing with my Quints dolls (anybody remember those?!) and my Magic Nursery babies. 👶🏻
5. Still The Magic Christmas!

wanderinglynn Thanks for playing! 💜 6y
tdrosebud I remember reading The Curse of the Ruby Necklace over and over. It was soooooo good. 6y
JenlovesJT47 @tdrosebud same here! I actually reread it a couple of years ago and it holds up pretty well! 6y
