Just watched Night Before. I had never seen it before. It was pretty good. I love Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Everyone should read this #holidayread poem at least once every Christmas! What I didn‘t realize and learned from its description is that it was supposedly written in 1823! Wow! That‘s a long and wonderful tradition for this gorgeous poem.

Is it even Christmas until you've read this? I got this version for my daughter's first Xmas and I spent a long time looking for it - the illustrations had to be just right. I had hoped by own treasured childhood version would turn up during a recent clear out of our attic but alas no. In this version the illustrations are muted & predominantly shaded with blue giving the impression of being illuminated by moonlight. Atmospheric & quite lovely.

Susanita My husband used to create a version of the poem talking about the local sports events of the year, using sound bites and sometimes a tortured rhyme or two. He even won an award for it one year. Then he lost his job when new management took over. 😡 I miss those poems. 6y
tracey38 When I am finding a special children's book for my nieces, I always have to make sure I love the illustrations. Some can just ruin it for me. This one sounds sweet! 6y

Book number three today was this absolutely beautiful version of The Night Before Christmas. I had been eyeing this book, and finally found it at Pegasus Books late last year. I'm so happy to have the whole story, in such a fun format, with illustrations that made us all smile.
