I didn't realize this was a sequel until about 1/3 of the way through 😅 The book did an amazing job of summarizing some of the things I would have missed from book one. This book continues Gem and Ralph's love story, only 11 years later. I really enjoyed this book and found it an easy read 😊I didn't want it to finish! 💕

I listened to this one on hoopla 🎧 🤗

Finished my first book during the readathons. This was a good sequel, although hard to see the difficult times Jem and Ralph went through, when you‘d grown to care for them so much during the first book. Very easy reading andLisa Jewell did a good job of getting us to see things from their sides, and how they were feeling about things. Will miss them both.
At 12 hrs 4 mins for #24B4Monday and 679 pages for #SummersEndReadathon

End of day 1 of the readathons and spent most of the day reading After The Party (299 Pages, 5hrs 9 minutes) and The Black Echo ( 85 Pages, 1 hour 55 mins). But also read small sections of the other two books.

All in I read 7 hrs 57 minutes for #24B4Monday Readathon (33 minutes off my target time) and 447 pages for #SummersEndReadathon (3 below my daily target). Hope to catch these times up tomorrow, a few things got in the way of reading today.

Starting After The Party, which is the sequel to Ralph‘s Party (I Read that earlier this week). Worried about what the author might do to Ralph and Jem, let‘s hope their love endures. I am doing this on audiobook.
Currently on 2 hrs 7 mins for #24B4Monday and 132 pages for #SummersEndReadathon. Need to get at it

This is a Summer / Beach Read for me and can see the sea as I read it, but cloudy day.

Andrew65 @TheReadingMermaid Hopefully will be, just been suffering acid reflux for a few weeks and now led to inflammation and constant bad cramping, hopefully 🤞this will sort it out. Difficult to focus on reading when stomach is constantly cramping. First time ever had to go to doctors in another country, Scotland as opposed to England. But they were great. 5y

BeansPage Oh no sweetie I'm so sorry. I know how much it hurts to have acid reflux. I have to take a pill every day for mine. I know what you're going through and I know how much it hurts. I'm glad they were able to give you some pills to help you. Hopefully that does the trick. You'll be in my thoughts this weekend sweetheart ❤️🤗❤️ 5y
