To Green Angel Tower
To Green Angel Tower: Siege | Tad Williams
8 posts | 13 read | 7 to read
Simon Snowlock and Prince Josua's band of allies gather at the Stone of Farewell. King Elias is drawn ever deeper into the dark sorceries of Ineluki, the Storm King. The badly depleted League of the Scroll searches for age-old knowledge with which to aid Josua's much-outnumbered army. Across the face of Osten Ard lines are drawn as the final battle approaches, and the struggle between Light and Dark reaches a climax. SIEGE is the first half of TO GREEN ANGEL TOWER - an international hardback bestseller - the final volume of Tad Williams' highly acclaimed trilogy Memory, Sorrow and Thorn.

Satisfying conclusion to the trilogy but too sprawling and unfocused for most of the book.

1066 pages finished! Sometimes it was really slow and pondering and other times I had to restrain myself from skipping ahead to relieve the tension!! Overall, I would be first in line to see these books adapted, which means that this fulfills #22 of the #riotgrams challenge! 😆. As far as fantasy epics go, Williams's Dragonbone Trilogy is right up there with Game of Thrones and Name of the Wind, in my opinion.

#SurvivingDecember #WaitForTheBus

It was 1994. I was waiting at the bus stop with this book. Some other strangers at the bus stop were making fun of me cuz it was so big.

The bus shows up & one of them bails on the bus steps, falls backwards onto the sidewalk and broke his arm. The driver had to call an ambulance.

While the bus waited for the paramedics to show up I sat in my seat, grinning to myself, reading this book. #karma
