"She will bungle through life and slip out of it without leaving the faintest mark..."
I felt that cut... Finally picking up books again after a 8 year struggle with depression.

wow i had no idea this book was going to be so rich. dripping with magical realism and feeling this book has so many beautiful words and strange images every so paragraphs i want to share. i‘m sorry it took me so long to read 🌫 i love the use of magical/paranormal metaphors to convey real life situations, ive found myself reading between the lines with this book and totally absorbed into its strange world
i‘ve had this book for awhile, think i‘ll finally jump into it tonight 🧡✨🐝
#tarottakeover #WheelOfFortune
My pick is one of my favorite books. Many tarot elements to be found in this book, the wheel of fortune being one of them. This book explores how much of our destiny is decided by the patterns and cycles passed down to us by our family, and is it possible to break destructive cycles or are we bound to repeat them?
I had an odd experience with this book. When I was reading, I was completely immersed in the story, like miss my train stop absorbed. But,when the book was closed, I had a difficult time picking it up. Maybe because it is rather dark and I wasn‘t in the emotional space to handle it? I don‘t know. What I do know is the writing is beautiful, the world is enchanting, and the heroine is beautifully flawed and courageous. #LitsyAtoZ #bowie #catsoflitsy

This is one of my all time favorite books. It‘s a magical story packed with a lot of truth.
I couldn‘t find any info on his favorite book. I did find out he was born in Indonesia to Chinese parents. He grew up living in a country with strong anti-Chinese sentiment. At 16 he came to the US alone and eventually made it into Stanford against a lot of odds. He has a pretty interesting story.
Wellllllllllllll I tried. Just couldn't get into it and I have so many other books I want to read!
Someone described this book as a fairy tale for adult..... I'm in! But I have seen many mixed reviews so let see where I fall. 🤗
This was possibly the most surreal book I've ever read. It's been years since I first read it and I'm still blown away by the sense of mystery this book has. Great read.
This story is magical realism taken to an extreme. I loved that it seemed of our world at times and a completely made up and less technological one at others. Not a beach read, this will require some investment on your part. But the rewards are paid with interest. So happy I discovered this looking for an author from SE Asia for the Book Riot #2016ReadHarderChallenge
I am loving this random find!! Love my sons for running into the for sale section in our library:)
This is tough! Orange covers are few and far between. These are the only two I could find on my shelf. And I do not remember buying Of Bees and Mist. 😜😜It sounds interesting. #orangecovers #photoadaynov16
Here are a few of my books with #orangecovers. #photoadaynov16
I couldn't choose between these two books for the @bookriot #readharder challenge, so I checked out both! I'm really enjoying Pioneer Girl, but I hope to get to Of Bees and Mist in time for #allhallowsread
The hubby is working late and the kids deserted me so... Nice simple dinner and a new book. #bookanddrink #somethingforsept This is my pick for a book by a writer from Southeast Asia for Book Riot's #readharder2016 Challenge.
This book is pretty weird. I'm almost finished and I still don't know what I'm supposed to get out of it. Despite that, I'm kinda' digging it.
