Not the tagged book. 😒 Pema Chodron was asked to come out of her own retreat to offer a weekend retreat to a group at the Naropa Institute in Boulder, Colorado. Pema‘s teachings over that weekend were recorded in front of the live audience and produced in audiobook format for everyone to enjoy. I love that Buddhist teachings are extremely relatable to my daily life.

So many new books to read! I bought myself a book for Christmas and a friend gave me a book of poetry for Christmas. But those are at home. Sadly. However, I found this in my tote. So this will be today's lunchtime tome. Happy Wednesday!

I confess. This picture is a lie. I haven't been able to concentrate on any reading in the past 24+ hours. I did get to go out and have two Schlafly Dragon Brown Ales, get my mother to think I was weird for snapping this pic, and then somehow manage to get in a fight even though she voted for Hillz. I need this week to end for real. Bonus irony for beer and Buddhism. #photoadaynov16 #bookandbrew

Alfoster Beer and Buddhism a great pairing!😀â¤ï¸ 8y
LindsayReads @Alfoster Reminiscent of this, which I haven't read in full yet, but suspect I can get behind 100%: 8y
Alfoster I just remember teaching Siddhartha for the first time and realizing how much it meant to me (maybe not the kids as much; I was so young)!😳 8y
