#weaklingtohero #tropesinaugust @Klou
Not so much a weakling, but more that Rigg is unaware of his pathfinding-through-time skills and, through necessity, discovers their strength.

Klou Great job! 4y

Right I am really conflicted about these, received as a gift. They look right up my street but the man's publicly expressed beliefs disgust me. Can I - should I - divorce the author from the works and not still feel somehow compromised, especially with the world the way it is. It's a tough one!

TobeyTheScavengerMonk I think about this a lot. I fell for Card's work before I knew anything about his beliefs. It doesn't make those books mean any less to me, but it has certainly decreased my desire to read his newer stuff. 7y
minkyb This is a real dilemma. Curious what you decide. 7y
Balibee146 Thanks @TobeyTheScavengerMonk glad it's not just me. @minkyb I can't bring myself to read them. Was going to actually bin them but royalties already paid anyway (not by me thank goodness) so off to the charity shop they can go. 7y

I have a lot of books with #onewordtitles, but I have yet to read these. Any opinions? #riotgrams

Not my favorite Orson Scott Card, but I'll probably finish the series. Very interesting version of a time travel story.
One common theme throughout Orson's books might be precocious children and terrible parents. Definitely don't get your parenting advice from these books.

saresmoore He and Roald Dahl have that thread in common. I love both authors. 🤔 8y
rachelm @saresmoore totally true!! 8y

Oh boy...the paradox of time travel. My head hurts reading this book. On one hand, I'm eager to get to the end of the book, but this is the type of story you just can't rush into things. Very fun, but my head still hurts. I'm not glad it's over...there are two more books in this series to read. 3/5
