The Fireman Who Loved Me
The Fireman Who Loved Me: A Bachelor Firemen Novel | Jennifer Bernard
3 posts | 4 read
The first book in Jennifer Bernard’s Bachelor Firemen of San Gabriel series, The Fireman Who Loved Me is sizzling hot and sure to fire up contemporary romance lovers everywhere! Set in a California firehouse where all the fire fighters are gorgeous and single, The Fireman Who Loved Me follows the romantic exploits of Captain Brody of Station 52 who inadvertently becomes the prize at a charity “bachelor auction” and is won by a sweet, meddling old lady who turns him over to her husbandless, local TV news producer granddaughter. A great new voice with a very sexy edge, Jennifer Bernard is like the Kristin Higgins of firemen, and fans of Susan Elizabeth Phillips—and the fireman romances of Jo Davis—will be burning for more.

Mehso-so

Considering how prominent the dog is on the cover, I was really hoping he would get to play a bigger role.

The romance itself is only so-so. They had a lot of sex, but we hardly ever get to see them having a real conversation, so when one character tries to convince herself it‘s just a fling, it‘s hard to not believe her.

The writing is not great, but I enjoyed it. If you‘re looking for something mindless and fun, I recommend this one.

This short holiday story isn‘t in Litsy so I added it to another book in the series. Fireworks, firefighter and paramedic and chemistry. Sweet, short holiday romance. Read in about 30 minutes. #readwomen #romantsy #holidayreads

I finished this so I could rant about it and because I finish books even if I want to throw them out the window. This one jumped the shark, had the kitchen sink and surprise dominatrix games. So wanted to throw my kindle across the room. #photoadaynov16

CocoReads That's unfortunate. Although I like to read these types of books as palate cleansers. 8y
Lauren_reading This has been sitting on my shelf for 3 years - no longer feeling guilty about that 😀 8y
writerlibrarian @CocoReads The novella that opens the series is good. This one so not good. 8y

EloisaJames That really doesn't look like a dominatrix cover! I've liked other fireman books by her. 8y
