#nonreadingpursuits: backpacking! (One of many loves) I love backpacking but I mostly hate day hiking...probably because it's all the pain with so much less reward! There is nothing like a long trip to recalibrate you and make you feel like a badass. #uncannyoctober 👣🌲⛺️

hermyknee Wow! You've inspired me to try something new! 7y
Natasha.C.Barnes @hermyknee Oh, awesome! Sometimes a good place to start is hiking in with your stuff for a day, setting up camp, and then going on day hikes from that point--low risk, get to know your gear, and you're blissfully away from the crowds of people. If you're willing to walk even a little bit carrying your gear (which I know not everyone is physically able to do), you lose the crowds really quickly. 7y

No reading this lunchtime. At an all staff meeting at one of our camps. Ate really fast so I could take a walk after. 🍃🌿☀️

I hate #ReadingOutside (or doing anything outside), so instead of taking a real picture I stole one from HGTV. If I had this backyard, maybe I'd sit out there and read. Maybe. But probably not. #AugustLibrary17

It's pretty grey in Atlanta today so the patio at Starbucks is about all the #outside I'll enjoy today #riotgrams

Awww yeah Littens ready to be jealous of my amazing outdoor reading space!? I don't have a private outdoor space, the closest I have is the landing on the back stairs, where in the summer I will read with a folding chair, and this is my view. With the frequent alley rat running between garages and the occasional feral cat. 😂
We do have a shared backyard as well, which is in shabby condition seeing as it's February! #riotgrams

CherylDeFranceschi Looks almost exactly like my view! 8y
LindsayReads Yep, basically everywhere I've lived in my adult life. 😊 I like it. 8y

I hope your reading spot today is as lovely as mine! Happy Reading, #Litsy friends!

JSW How lovely!!! It's pouring here today, which is fine by me. #californiadrought 8y
Julsmarshall I hear you, @JSW with the years of drought here in Texas, we never complain about rain. 8y
