Most of the films and shows are based on books. I‘m excited about watching the show based on the tagged book. I was surprised Nightingale is among them too.

I first read these books as a shy young animal loving girl. All these years later they still brought me joy. Featured here is one of my small, wonderful, and beautiful creatures.

valeriegeary I had a fondness for these books when I was a girl too! Wanted to grow up to be the female James Herriot. Alas, blood and needles make me too queasy. 🙊 7y
SoniaC @valeriegeary I wanted to be a vet as well but science and math were not my thing! 7y
Wife At first glance, I thought there were two dogs laying back to back...one of them PINK! 😳 7y
SoniaC @Wife 😂😂😂 nope just an abundance of doggie beds. A girl needs options! 7y

So as a young kid I was introverted and we moved schools a lot. I discovered these books one day in the library and spent several weeks reading them each morning in the library before class. I loved them so much and remember looking forward to my few minutes with them in the library each morning. Don't ask why I didn't just check them out! I'm not sure. Saw the set in sale and couldn't resist a reread. Still loving them. Sugar Bear approves!

britt_brooke Sugar Bear is adorable! 7y
SoniaC @britt_brooke thank you. That pups a mess but I adore her! 7y
LeahBergen An aunt bought a set of these books for my older brother when I was little - he was not interested in them at all so I stole them from him and devoured them. 😆 7y
