Onto this Gem before I get Book 3 of another series Friday!
Nearly too sweet for my taste but it was a very cute and uplifting read. Great for those who like chick lit and light-hearted stories.
I finished our pick for #TheCozyBookishWeekend last night before bedtime. It was sweet (maybe a little too sweet), light and definitely cozy, which was our aim. It has been so fun to embrace all things cozy, mindful and slow for the past few days. 🍂
I hope your Sunday is filled with good books, a comfy spot to read and with an appropriately autumnal beverage or treat nearby. Happy Sunday and Happy Reading!
A weekend checklist: comfy pyjamas, cozy socks, tucked up under a blanket on the couch, current read & just out of shot, a steaming teacup of earl grey tea. I‘m about half way through our pick for #TheCozyBookishWeekend. If I were to compare this book and author to another, I‘d say it‘s very much in the style of Debbie Macomber and a hint of Maeve Binchy.
A cross between a readalong and a virtual book club, ‘The Cozy Bookish Weekend‘ will be dedicated to reading a cozy book, over an entire weekend. Our first book pick will be, ‘The Vintage Teacup Club‘ by Vanessa Greene, to be read over the weekend of September 20-22 (from Friday to Sunday evening).

Typical “chick lit”: three woman meet at a flea market, bond over a vintage tea set they all want to buy, and decide to share it. I was skimming by the end because I just didn‘t care about any of the characters.
The writing on this wasn't perfect. There were times where it didn't quite feel seamless. BUT it was just a lovely charming read. Very quintisentially British and just lovely. Will certainly read another by this author. Also, reading this book at work prompted my colleagues to call me twee so I'm delighted !
I was actually very positively surprised by this book. True, it was clumsy at times, but I really loved how it concentrated on the friendship btw the main characters rather than their individual love lives. I like an occasional happy ending and this book left me smiling.
I dunno guys... I'm bored already 60 pages in... I'll give it 100. But it's just so ridiculously full of cliches. Like, more than normal. And it's hard to distinguish the three protagonists... ... ...
