Todays prompt for #winterreadingchallenge is doggies. This is demon. She is begging for a belly rub. You can‘t see Flib but she is just a few feet away saying let me solo dang it. @Andrew65

Kicking off #MGMarch with two delightful dog stories, one told from the point of view of a traumatized service dog, and the other a reminder of the importance of empathy. @Eggs

Eggs Oh these look so good 😊 3y
Eggs I just realized I read these last year🤓🤪 3y

The best part of FTF “Friday thrifty finds” according to Cricket is the box. I mostly picked up kid books today. 😁

#motherdaughterbookclub A super stressful middle grade read. A homeless girl hatches a plan to steal a dog in order to earn money to get a home. A solid read.

I see understand why teachers + reading groups like to use this book. My own family has enjoyed reading it + discussing. With subjects like homelessness, making choices, judging others, overcoming obstacles - there is plenty to talk about. I also love that this book is set in my own state of NC with a little shoutout to my area. 💁🏻

I mentioned in my previous blurb on this book that the audiobook is a winner. Suzy Jackson narrates. I recommend!

#currentlyreading: This is another one that my youngest loved + recommended (aka wanted me to read) so we could discuss. He loves contemporary books. I'm reading in paperback + Kindle + audio, as one does 😉

• Great audio! I'm thinking that kids who may want to try/benefit from trying audio might do well with this one. It isn't very long + the narrator is compelling. #middlegrade

melbeautyandbooks That's great! 8y
Cortg We did this audio on. Road trip with the kids...it was great! 8y
Weaponxgirl This just made me laugh as the dog on the cover is exactly like a dog I kidnapped/ rescued this year! Long story short I ended up putting said dog under my arm when I couldn't see its owner and keeping her in my flat for all of 30min whilst I found the owner. 8y

intothehallofbooks @Weaponxgirl Great story! I love that the dog looks the same! 8y
intothehallofbooks @Cortg I wish I would have thought to play this one in my car! I've not been roadtripping but I think my kids would have enjoyed listening while we run errands etc. even though they've all read the book in print. Great road trip choice 😊 8y
