Think this is the best true crime book I‘ve read (but tbh I haven‘t read that many!) really compelling, and contained all the necessary forensic detail without feeling dry. Totally heartbreaking, but nice to be reading an updated version with a ‘happy‘ ending for some of the main players (Cinnamon).

Welcome to my murder mystery section of my bookshelf. 🕵‍♂️💀👀

Yes, that is a skull book divider. The other half matches. And yes I'm obsessed with it.

A really interesting look at a Manson-esque type personality. I always appreciate Rule‘s attention to detail and ability to keep her reader hooked as she describes the minutia of her cases.

Well this was a bust. Nowhere on this audiobook does it mention that it's abridged, but it didn't take me long to figure it out!! Ann Rule reads the book herself which is pretty hilarious.. it's a bit like if your grandma were telling you a long story, with quirky intonations included 😆 But sadly, editing the story just caused it to lose all buildup and shock factors.

Megabooks 🤣🤣 Fantastic review! 6y
MicheleinPhilly But did you listen to it on 2 cassettes??? 6y
Kimberlone Just read the blurb...the story sounds very intriguing though! 6y

Kaye I read it years ago. You‘re not missing much. It‘s just so- so. Nothing fantastic. 6y
Reviewsbylola Ugh! Are all her audiobooks abridged?! I listened to the abridged version of another books of hers that I had already read and it was like reading a long Wikipedia article. 6y
emilyhaldi I thought so for a minute! @Reviewsbylola but I found a few on Hoopla that are unabridged. I'm currently starting this one 6y
