Meh. It started off well, but began to unravel in the middle mainly because it introduced too many characters that weren‘t well developed. I had much higher hopes based on the blurb.

Good grief…..🤦🏽‍♀️ At least I didn‘t buy a duplicate this time, I borrowed it. I‘m glad I made the discovery because I really dislike due dates.

I also found Someone at a Distance by Whipple on my shelves and that has been in my Abe cart too. 🙄

I really liked this story of twins Benjamin and lewis, born at the very end of the 19th century and at the books opening still sharing the same bed in their farmhouse in the shadow of the blackhills of radnor wales. It follows their life and it is poignant and comic but brilliantly drawn
It also won in 1982 the whitbread #debut novel award #junebookbugs

I'm probably now posting on litsy more than im reading, anyway i have started a new book tonight and i loved this quote and thought I'd share.

#booksaboutnature almost forgot today's #readjanuary prompt. Turns out it was a bit of a hard one since I don't have too many books that fit the bill. I read this a few years ago and enjoyed it. Beautifully written story about two twin boys who spend their entire lives on a small farm in the black mountains.

A beautiful story that goes deep rather than wide. Only recently out in ebook format, and on sale for two bucks!

Identical twins Lewis and Benjamin Jones have shared most of their lives together on their home in rural Wales.
Available in e-format for the first time, this will be available on 18 Oct 2016.
