I read up to chapter three of naruto today and you can connect narutos mission to real world veterans who had to risk their life and sacrifice themselves for their country or in narutos case his village. He had to go into a fight that he had no chance of winning but managed to pull through.
Why do you think the author began or ended the story the way he did?
I think the reason the other began the story the way that he did was to hook the reader with almost a confusion. the book started mid way through a mission and as a reader I didnt know what was going on . They explain everything that is happening and do some recap on what has happened up until the events of the story. (I could't write a lot the limit is very low.
Today I read about a mission that naruto sai and kakashi did where they fought garyo a man who wanted peace but used the wrong methods. He idolized madara and his belifes. He was willing to kill if it meant one day there would be peace. he came from the blood mist village and wore the same mask as haku the person who naruto fought on his first mission. Naruto tried using his talk no jutsu but garyo wouldn't listen.
Over the chritmas break i finished this story It was very good and went over itachi's back story which is so amazing because he got very little screen time in the anime and manga. I think the whole idea on him getting a book on its own is very good but the way they told the story made it so much better. They went in depth on the massacre and the events before that.
I just started this book and so far I am really enjoying it.

Did the author use language to create a feeling or picture in your mind? What words did the author use and how did s/he create this picture in your mind?
Yes I definitly feel like I am imagining pictures in my mind when im reading this book the words are very discriptive and capturing. Kakashi has a bit of an advanced vocabulary. he uses words like precious insted of words like special
Im going to be abondoning my book if I cant find a real life copy. The online website i am using is just to difficult for me to use. It doesn't save my page or tell me what page im on.
Fiction: do you think the story really could have happened? Why or why not? I think maybe It could happen just not to that extent. There is no way that some of the last people alive would be a random family. The goverment and a bunch of rich people be inside bunkers or really tall buildings unaccessable to anyone else.
