This book was so amazing. You really feel the main character's pain and feel empathetic for both troubled teenagers and their parents. The story takes you through an almost too real series of events and is devastating. But well worth the read.

I am constantly torn between killing myself and killing everyone around me. Those seem to be the two choices. Everything else is just killing time.

Beautiful story. I have read this so many times and never got tired of it. Really puts you in the shoes of a teenager and the difficulty of being an outcast and really finding the people you belong with. A perfect balance of the aspects of life. Very relatable. This book speaks to me on so many levels, it's insane. I will always recommend this book to anyone.

A simple example of how beautiful dying things can be. Holding on to what little hope you could still have and falling deeply in love. An unconventional love story. But so well written.

I could read this book thousands of times and still find new things to love about it. The story is so perfectly blended together. With an air of mystery and magic, there is still the darkness that lingers. It feels homey but also like you've entered a whole new world. Absolutely wonderful.

I liked hurting girls. Mentally, not physically, I never hit a girl in my life. [...] The thing is, I got off on it. I really enjoyed it. It‘s like when you hear serial killers say they feel no regret, no remorse for all the people they killed. I was like that. Loved it. [...] And it was legal. I think I killed a few of them. Their souls I mean.

Stunning story that shows not only the struggle of someone suffering mental health problems but also the pain people feel from watching their loved ones suffer. This shows a wonderful story through the eyes of a teenager, the awkwardness of being young and the way mental health is so taboo. Very emotional and sent me through a rollercoaster of empathy and tears.
