An Echo in the Bone | Diana Gabaldon

A particular scene in this novel is one of very few (and only one, in recent memory) to cause such a physical reaction. Grief. Tears. My nose tingled and my eyes burned, as tears snaked their way down my face and I audibly said, "OH" as the moment clarified itself for what it was. So profound. So grief stricken. So well written, indeed.
