Currently reading the bottom three, and the top two are recent arrivals for the TBR. I don't have a problem.
Song of the Current is the most recent addition to my Bullet Journal's "Read in 2017" list. So far, so good: steady as she goes.
Vassa in the Night has arrived. Good thing too: wasn't sure what I was going to start reading next.
That was... odd. Grim. Structurally not reliant on a scene/sequel set up so you don't get a break from the doom and gloom, which normalizes it, which makes it less impactful? Decent twist with a smidge too much reliance on the format found in Kurtagich's previous work, The Dead House, which draws from House of Leaves. Would like to see a departure from this sort of thing in her next work and hear a bit more of her voice rather than her influences.
September book haul: I've reviewed The Call already, having devoured it in short order. The brief: an excellent YA horror title that does a great job of keeping you on the edge of your seat.
