Pickpick

#reread
Currently reading/listening to the Illuminae series..
I'm not a science fiction girl.. I've tried and failed.
This series is amazing!!!
I love it so much and the audio books are brilliant.
If you have been thinking of giving this series a go
I highly recommend listening to the audio, while following along with the books...
They are such a fantastic experience and the story will stick with you..

This year one of my book goals is to finally read 'War and Peace" by Leo Tolstoy.
I read Anna Karenina last year and enjoyed it, and this book has been on my tbr list for to long.
But I am struggling with which translation to read...
Does anyone have any advice in which one to read
#warandpeace #leotolstoy

A few poems in this book hit me hard. I read it last year when I was struggling alot with my weight and relasionship I had/have with food. Such a strong poetic book!

Cinfhen I loved this collection ~ very powerful! Have you read Roxane Gay‘s memoir about her relationship with food/weight? I thought it was absolutely brilliant and incredibly raw. 6y
imperfect1989 @Cinfhen Hey! No I haven't read it yet. I have seen it a few times. Always mean to pick it up but I never do. Was never really sure what it was actually about. But now you mention it.. Will add it to my thr list. Thanks ! 6y
Cinfhen It does have some TW: (abuse, rape )in case those subjects are uncomfortable for you. But her prose and honesty is so real. This book was a real eye opener. I thought it was incredibly brave. 6y

Verity | Colleen Hoover
Pickpick

I have only read one other book by Colleen Hoover.. it was good but not good enough for me to read more by her.
Until this one caught my eye...
This isn't a book I would have ever expected to be writing by Hoover.
Slightly predictable. Something I Have seen before in books/movies but it was defintly a 3 or 4 star read.
College Hoover should write more books like this one!
