One of our Children's librarians stated that this book was "clever and entertaining". She suggests the audio version for a long car trip.
Our IT Manager just finished this book and gave it 3/5 stars. She said, "If Ann Beattie wrote Helter Skelter, you'd have The Girls. Similar enough to the Manson girls to be disconcertingly inaccurate. The Girls feels like summer. It's hot and sticky and a good read. It's probably more interesting if you're not trying to match the characters to real life."
