pickI usually don't like the way mystery novels suck me I'm but I enjoyed every moment. The end speaks to the problem of privilege & patriarchy in a subtle, infuriating, and genius way. Great read.
pickThis book is somehow a mix between an almost mocking catastrophe story and a coming-of-age story for adults-- the Plumb problems seem ridiculous buy the Plumbs themselves see their lives disintegrating, and somehow they all end up happy doing the mature thing.
pickJust fantastic. Reading the book was fun but where I really had fun was writing a research paper for it-- pouring over the guts of the novel and the way it ties to social media was way too fun. Page Turner but savor it, think on it.
pickI finished part 1 thinking that I couldn't possibly like part 2 more... And then I did. The 2 main characters are masterpieces. Their stories are complex, riveting, deeply dramatic in strikingly different ways. I would recommend this to lovers of lit fic!
