Just fantastic. Reading the book was fun but where I really had fun was writing a research paper for it-- pouring over the guts of the novel and the way it ties to social media was way too fun. Page Turner but savor it, think on it.
I usually don't like the way mystery novels suck me I'm but I enjoyed every moment. The end speaks to the problem of privilege & patriarchy in a subtle, infuriating, and genius way. Great read.
This book is somehow a mix between an almost mocking catastrophe story and a coming-of-age story for adults-- the Plumb problems seem ridiculous buy the Plumbs themselves see their lives disintegrating, and somehow they all end up happy doing the mature thing.

I finished part 1 thinking that I couldn't possibly like part 2 more... And then I did. The 2 main characters are masterpieces. Their stories are complex, riveting, deeply dramatic in strikingly different ways. I would recommend this to lovers of lit fic!
